Which channel were the programmes recorded from?

Only FTA recordings (shown with a green icon in +Extract) can be processed in this way. Programmes with a red padlock icon are encrypted with broadcast strength encryption and require a Sky box and valid subscription card to be played back.

Personally, I always use ProjectX as it allows you to insert cut points to remove adverts, extract subtitles, etc, etc. But each to their own.

Ok - But do you not know what channels the programmes you where trying to extract were recorded from?! :?
It should be fairly obvious which channels are encrypted - Ones you have to pay Sky for.

Channels you can extract in this way - Those from BBC, ITV, C4 (but not C5 because they are Free To View).

You can NOT decode encrypted shows from pay channels like Sky 1.
You can only decode Free To Air channels (BBC, ITV, C4 etc) that are broadcast without encryption. These are the channels you can watch without a card.

Don't know what you mean about the ringtones? :?
Are you sure you downloaded and installed EXE in the ZIP file I linked to and did not click on some banner ad instead?!

ProjectX is a full featured DVB de/re-muxing tool - SourceForge project.

It will not help you decode encrypted content however.
